CLIMATE SMART AGRICULTURE WORKSHOP
A workshop on Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) will be held at Chester Hotel, Nakuru on 24th to 26th June 2015 for PELUM Kenya Member Organizations.
2015 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The 2015 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at SACDEP Kenya Training and Conference Facility, Thika on May 28 & 29, 2015. The 2015 AGM Delegates will arrive on May 27, 2015 and the leave on May 30, 2015. The AGM business day will be on May 28, 2015 and the Networking day will be on May 29, 2015.

HIVOs SOCIAL INNOVATION AWARD
PELUM Kenya applied for the Hivos Social Innovation Award. Please follow the link below and vote for PELUM Kenya for the HIVOs Social Award. One person has a maximum of three votes and one can only vote once for an organization.
Hands – on Training Workshop on Value Addition and Agro Processing 28th to 30th October 2014
PELUM Kenya is organizing for a 3-day practical/hands-on training workshop on Value Addition and agro processing. The workshop focuses on pulses and cereals; African (and other) leafy vegetables, chicken, cassava and honey. The workshop is hosted by the Nyanza/Western Cluster, and will take place at the CREPP Training Centre in Awasi from 28th – 30th October 2014.
The workshop objective is for the diversification and improvement of food forms, to access markets better for farmers. Expected participants are farmer group leaders working with honey, cassava or indigenous chicken in market volumes and field trainers
Country Working Group (CWG) Meeting 18th to 19th September, 2014
Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM Kenya) will hold a County Working Group Meeting (CWG) from the 18th to 19th September 2014. The meeting will be hosted by one of PELUM Kenya’s member organization at the Coastal region; Taita Taveta Wild Life Forum (TTWF) in Voi.
The CWG meeting is a networking forum that draws participants from 19 counties in Kenya. PELUM Kenya member organizations are spread in the 19 counties, and operate in 42 counties in Kenya.
On the 18th September, 2014 there will be side meetings for;

- Marketing Committee Group
CEO’S and finance Managers Meeting under the Changieni Rasilimali Project 25th to 26th September, 2014
The CRM Project aims to have Smallholder farming communities empowered to engage in the governance and decision making processes in the management and utilization of natural environmental resources in 5 counties in Kenya by 2014.
The meeting draws participants from 18 PELUM Kenya Member Organizations involved in the CRM Project.
4.1 Expected Meeting Results
4.1 Clear understanding and appreciation of basic accounting policies and procedures in relation to CRM supported project
4.2 Clear understanding of responsibilities of each player in this project vis a vis the requirements of the donor
4.3 Re-alignment of individual institutional operating regulations to accommodate project needs. This will include considering how project books of accounts shall be held separately from other accounts
4.4 Clear understanding of the project and its results by workshop participants
4.5 New concepts to scale up the work of this project per platform developed by respective platform members
4.6 Cohesive working arrangements between platform members – Member to Member networking
